Information we collect
We collect information you provide when joining Cross Court, including your name, mobile number, general location or neighborhood, time zone, age confirmation, communication choices, and tennis preferences. During voice onboarding, we may process a live transcription to create a structured tennis profile. We save the resulting profile, not an audio recording.
We also keep operational records such as consent history, message and call status, opt-out requests, profile approvals, mutual-introduction decisions, and security information needed to operate and protect the service. Before opening a private account session, we verify control of the submitted phone through a short-lived code sent by that phone to our signed carrier webhook. Declining recurring texts does not prevent this one-time inbound verification.
If you start by text, we record the signed inbound keyword and create a short-lived onboarding capability tied to that mobile number. Only a hash of that capability is stored. Opening it carries the verified number into the join form; no player profile is created until you provide your real details and voice permissions.
How we use information
We use your information to conduct onboarding, create and let you review your profile, identify compatible tennis partners, request mutual consent, make introductions, provide service updates, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal and carrier requirements.
Mobile information and messaging consent
Cross Court does not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, text-messaging originator opt-in data, or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This information is not shared with third parties except service providers acting on our behalf to deliver and support the service, such as telecommunications and technology providers. Those providers may use it only to perform services for Cross Court.
Message frequency varies based on your onboarding and matchmaking activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not prevent you from contacting us by email.
When information is shared
We share profile or contact information with another player only as needed to operate the service and according to the consent choices shown to you. Direct contact details are disclosed to a proposed tennis partner only after both players agree to the introduction. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect safety or rights, or as part of a business reorganization subject to this policy.
Retention and security
Unverified pending signups are removed after 24 hours. Expired security links and verification material are removed when used or expired; completed voice-session metadata is retained for up to 90 days, passed or expired match proposals for up to one year, and text delivery metadata for up to 400 days. Expired, consumed, or superseded text-onboarding capabilities are removed after 30 days; STOP and consent evidence may be retained with text delivery metadata for up to 400 days. Active account, approved-profile, mutual-introduction, and consent records remain while needed to provide the service or meet legal and carrier obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may review and approve your structured tennis profile before it enters the matching pool. You may leave the matching pool at any time from your private profile, and you may reply STOP to end texts. To ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, email will@willweinbach.com. Some compliance records may be retained where required.
Adults only
Cross Court is intended only for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
